Terms of Service
Using the dictionary, study tools, library, and Latin games.
Last updated October 25, 2026
latindictionary.io is operated by Teen Talent LLC. These terms apply to the dictionary, text analyzer, library, word lists, study tools, Latin Wordle, and Latin Connections. By using these services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using them.
Learning with the site
The site is a learning aid. Dictionary entries, grammatical analyses, extracted text, and other results can contain errors or omit meanings that matter in context. Check important translations against the original passage and other sources. We do not guarantee a particular academic result or the accuracy of every entry, analysis, or puzzle.
You are welcome to use the site for personal study, teaching, and research. Follow your school’s or instructor’s rules when using it for assignments and assessments.
Your account
You can browse many features without an account. An account lets you create word lists and manage your profile and preferences. Keep access to your email or Google account secure, and do not use someone else’s account without permission. Contact support@latindictionary.io if you believe someone has accessed your account without your permission.
Profiles and word lists
You are responsible for the profile information, images, and word lists you add. Only submit material you have permission to use. Do not publish someone else’s personal information, infringing material, harassment, or unlawful content.
You retain your rights in the material you contribute. You give us permission to store, process, and display it as needed to provide the features you use, including showing lists you make public to other visitors. This permission does not transfer ownership to us.
Profile visibility and word-list visibility are separate settings. A public word list can display its creator’s name and image even when their profile is private. Review both settings before publishing information. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Dictionary and library materials
The site includes materials from different sources. Rights in dictionary data, classical texts, translations, images, and software may belong to their respective creators or may be subject to separate licenses. These terms do not give us ownership of public-domain or third-party material, or override the rights those materials already carry. Check the relevant source and license before republishing or redistributing content.
Responsible use and API access
Do not attempt to access private accounts or data, bypass security controls, interfere with the service, or send requests that disrupt it for others. Automated clients must follow our API usage policy, respect rate limits, and back off when requests are rejected.
We may restrict access or remove contributed material to address abuse, security threats, unlawful activity, or violations of these terms.
Donations and external services
Donations are optional and are handled through Stripe. Review the amount and payment details shown at checkout before paying. A donation does not purchase a subscription or guarantee particular features or continued availability. Contact support@latindictionary.io about a payment problem.
Linked websites, advertisements, sign-in providers, and payment services have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their content or services.
Availability and responsibility
We provide the site as available, without a guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Features and content may change. Keep your own copy of study material you need to retain.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Teen Talent LLC is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and contact
We will post revisions here and update the date above. If you have a question about these terms or want to report a content or copyright concern, contact support@latindictionary.io. Include the relevant page and enough detail for us to investigate.
